Privacy Policy

Compliant with Quebec's Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Law 25).

1. Who we are

This policy applies to https://www.kzextermination.ca and to services provided by KZ Extermination ("KZ Extermination", "we", "us"), a residential and commercial pest control business operating mainly across Montreal's South Shore and Greater Montreal.

We collect only the personal information needed to deliver our services:

  • Quote form: name, phone, email, city, pest type, situation description.
  • Direct communications: any information you share by phone or email.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited (server logs). Retained for security and fraud prevention.

4. Why we collect it

We use your personal information to:

  • Respond to your quote or information request;
  • Plan and execute a pest control intervention;
  • Conduct the 30-, 60-, or 90-day follow-up (depending on service);
  • Issue invoices and maintain a client record;
  • Reach you in case of safety-related matters tied to a service rendered;
  • Improve our services and website (aggregated, anonymized statistics).

By submitting a form on our site, you consent to the collection and processing of your information for the purposes above. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to info@kzextermination.ca.

6. Third parties and cross-border transfers

To deliver our services, we share certain information with providers:

  • Web3Forms (form submission processing) — servers in the United States. Web3Forms applies industry-standard security.
  • Vercel / Cloudflare (hosting and CDN) — servers in North America and Europe.
  • Google Maps (embedded maps) — may collect anonymous technical data on load.
  • Where applicable, an email service (Resend) or payment processor (Stripe, Square) per their respective privacy policies.

When information is transferred outside Quebec, we assess the level of protection and conclude contractual agreements when necessary to ensure protection equivalent to Law 25.

7. Retention

We retain personal information for the time required for the stated purposes and in accordance with Quebec's labour standards (invoices and accounting records: 6 years). Quotes without follow-up are deleted after 24 months.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information: TLS encryption for web traffic, restricted access to authorized personnel, hosting with reputable providers, access logs.

No system is 100% impervious. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a serious risk of harm, we will notify you and report the incident to Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI), per Law 25.

9. Your rights

Under Law 25, you have the right to:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • Rectify: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • De-indexation and cessation of dissemination: in certain circumstances;
  • Portability: receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format;
  • Withdraw consent: at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions;
  • File a complaint: with the CAI if you believe your rights have not been respected.

10. Cookies and similar technologies

Our site uses a limited number of strictly necessary cookies (language preference, form security). If we eventually enable analytics tools (Google Analytics or equivalent), a consent mechanism will be presented before any non-essential cookie is placed.

11. Updates

We may update this policy as our services or legislation evolve. The last-updated date appears at the top. Material changes will be communicated through a site notice or email if you are an active client.
