Preparation for treatment — mice
Mouse preparation is quick. Goal: give access to activity zones and eliminate food sources that compete with baits.
To do before we arrive
Preparation checklist
- 1
Identify and tell us the zones where you've seen droppings or heard noise (basement, attic, ceiling, wall).
- 2
Clear access to basement, crawl space, attic and exterior foundation.
- 3
Store all food (including pet food and bird seed) in airtight containers — metal or thick plastic.
- 4
Empty kitchen trash and seal bags well.
- 5
If possible, sweep or vacuum visible droppings BEFORE we arrive so we can measure new activity (wear mask and gloves).
- 6
Keep pets away from zones where we install bait stations (stations are locked but extra caution helps).
- 7
Do NOT set your own traps in the days before — mice become wary of new objects and professional treatment is less effective.
After treatment
What to expect
You may hear some noise for 7-14 days. Bait stations stay 21 days to eliminate population. Phase 2 (exclusion report listing entry points for you to seal) delivered at 21-30 days. A 60-day follow-up can be scheduled on request.
