Preparation for treatment — boxelder bugs
Prep is minimal since treatment is mostly exterior.
To do before we arrive
Preparation checklist

Tell us which façade(s) show most activity (usually south, southwest).

Vacuum visible dead or live bugs inside BEFORE we arrive — do not crush (they stain).

Close windows and doors on treated façades for 2-3 hours after application.
- 4
Keep kids and pets inside during exterior treatment (1-2 hours).

If you have edible or ornamental plants against the façade, tell us — we protect or spray differently.
- 6
Identify interior entry points (windowsill, baseboard, exterior outlet) to target sealing.
After treatment
What to expect
You may see slight activity increase for 24-48 hours (bugs coming from hideouts to treated surface). Marked decrease after 5-7 days. Treatment stays active 60-90 days.
